Its not practical either to stack 2 screens on top of 2 screens while wasting over 4x more energy because we have to use 4 PC's at a time for 4-player when having a controller match on the couch/sofa. It's not fair to expect PC gamers to pay so much more for multiple copies of the game and multiple gaming PC's just so we can achieve the split-screen experience at home, when console players can just pay a fraction of the price. There is no good reason to remove split-screen multiplayer on a PC multiplat. Portabilty - Gaming Laptops are more practical to carry around with you on the go, why not plug it into a friends TV if you have it with you and play some split-screen, they might already have the controllers too!
